China has a long history. In the long Old and New Stone Age, stone tool processing was the means of livelihood for the primitive ancestors in Lingnan. A number of rock carvings were found in Hong Kong, Macao and Zhuhai at the mouth of the the Pearl River. They are mainly complex abstract patterns, and they are carved with chiseling techniques. The largest rock carvings in Gaolan Island, Nanshui Town, Zhuhai, are 3 meters high and 5 meters long. The lines are clear, and people and boat carvings can be identified from the complex lines.According to research, the rock carvings at this location date back to approximately 1000 BC and are works from the Bronze Age. Multiple square pedestal octagonal prism shaped stone railings were discovered at the site of the Nanyue Palace, which are the earliest known stone railing components in Chinese architectural history. The ruins of the Nanyue Kingdom's imperial garden, featuring stone pools paved with ice cracks made of stone slabs, winding stone channels, stone chambers erected with huge stone slabs, and various stone components, are the first to be seen in Chinese Qin and Han dynasties
